Timothée Hal Chalamet (born December 27, 1995, in New York City) is a French-American actor celebrated for his sensitive and complex portrayals across independent films and major blockbusters. Raised in Hell’s Kitchen by a family with deep roots in the arts—his mother was a Broadway dancer and his father an editor for UNICEF—Chalamet attended the esteemed Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. His breakthrough came in 2017 with his Oscar-nominated lead role as Elio in Luca Guadagnino's Call Me by Your Name, making him one of the youngest Best Actor nominees in Academy history. This performance, along with starring roles in Lady Bird and Beautiful Boy, cemented his status as a talented, vulnerable star.
